Spring Cleaning
Probably a phrase you’ve heard before! So as the seasons shift, can you feel it too? I have found that a lot of my perception of both the world and of my physical body have been linked to the seasons. I am in a season of change. big changes. big really exciting life altering changes.
WTL: What’s Tash Loving
What am I loving may you ask (or maybe not)? Here are some things that are consistently part of my everyday life, for now (they change as I change).
Life as a Canvas
The one big lesson I have learned is that it is you hand in hand with you at the end of the day. No one can force you to do anything, as easy as it is to blame others at times, it is you who gets yourself out of bed and decides the attitude and actions you take throughout the day. I mean wow. Lightbulb.
Good Morning, 2025
“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom” said Aristotle. Thank you Open for opening my first morning of the year with that quote. 2024 was a year of great change and plenty of learning and the start to a deeper healing.
The Long Winding Healing Journey
A journey, long long long journey, of healing, has been the story of my life the last year.
Keep Learning
As humans, we are constantly taking in information. We sense a whole lot of things. We observe a whole lot of things. But what do we actually learn?
This Season
Figs. Basically, a powerhouse of a food packed into a tiny teardrop form that bursts with flavor containing more fiber than a prune.
Embrace the Quiet
I go through waves of not being able to leave my home without my headphones in and either my new favorite song qued up ten times or a new podcast episode itching to teach me something. But recently I have been embracing walking without something playing in my ears.
Choosing Place
One of my yoga teachers words really stuck with me this morning, she said something along the lines of “Our outside shell is quiet, inside of us is where the noise is“.
Back in Practice
Day by day I am building the life of my dreams. But every action starts with me. I have the power to design the life I have always dreamed of, and to me, that is one of the most honest and courageous things to do.
My 90 Days of Rest and Regeneration
So here we go, my 90 days or rest and regeneration. The next 60 days are about ease and presence. The theme is ~gentle. The following 30 days are my time for me. The theme is ~cultivation.
Ikigai
There is no rulebook to life. There is no one who is going to get your life right. All the coaches and teachers and dietitians and friends and even family can tell you what you should do but deep down in your heart of hearts you know that you are the only one capable of knowing what you want.
Even Keeled
Something I learned in a yoga training in December was using the seasons as a metaphor for life and looking at life in terms of cycles. What I love about winter is it’s known as the time to hibernate. To plan. To assess. To take stock. To slow down.
2024 Incoming
1 week down! I love even numbered years. And I probably have a subconscious bias to the years that are even. In my life I have noticed that in the years that ended in even numbers one aspect of my life comes to a close and a new beginning full of possibility arises.
Mel Robbins Has Me Thinking…
Heard this Mel Robbins quote on a podcast yesterday: “My dreams are my responsibility. No one is coming“.
Creating: Space
Releasing in every sense is vital to living a happy and joyous life. By clearing out the space that negative energy/thoughts occupy you make room for all the better things to exist. One of the many lessons I’ve learned, with the help of others (especially my lovely coach), is that releasing is just as important as learning what things fill up your cup. Because we can only hold and experience as much as we make room for.
We are our Greatest Teachers
We are our greatest teachers. But the hardest thing is slowing down to hear and truly listen to yourself.
